MRI Technologist (Full time) - Full-time / Part-time

Provides magnetic resonance imaging patient care services at defined levels to patients. Provides health care services, applying pulsed radio-frequency waves and magnetic energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs magnetic resonance procedures, computer processing and relative techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Education/Certifications:

High School Diploma is required.

AA/AS Degree desired.

BLS-HCP, ARRT, RHF, RHT are required.

• Previous experience as an MRI Tech is required. • Prior work experience in an acute care facility is preferred. • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision. • Must e able to work in a rapidly changing and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations. • Knowledge of English language with strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. • Training skill required • Basic keyboarding and computer skills. • Identification of risk factors, contraindications, and items that may become or cause damage when influenced by high magnetic fields and radio frequency energy.
