Position: Project Coordinator

Desription: Experis is currently hiring a Project Coordinator for their Fortune 100 client in Columbus, OH. This is a long term consulting opportunity with one of our most prestigious clients in the area.The Project Coordinator needs to be versatile as new challenges are routinely presented in addition to daily responsibilities. Individual is also expected to take on new assignments, develop new skills, and assist in other areas as necessary. The role is working with the PMs and team on a new application initiative.

1.Maintains primary responsibility for several programs and tasks, liaison to Project Manager, Program Manager, project team members, and Business Transformation Office leadership.
2.Ongoing system budget entry assistance, Extract hours worked for team staff from the Work Management System (Version 1) each month and re-enter same hours into MS Project Web Access (PWA) system, follow up with PMs and finance leads to confirm hours entered each month
3.Strong excel skills to assist in creation of spreadsheets, Excel spreadsheet entry and updates could include data dictionary spreadsheets, rating spreadsheets, or other basic excel spreadsheets.
4.Adequate Power Point skills to assist in creation of basic presentations, PM and SMEs to provide content to assemble and edit Power point pages. Some power point pictures may be needed but most pages are simple bullet points, or copy objects into Power point then clean up for cosmetic readability.
5.Assist in taking meeting notes as needed, Meeting notes are relatively simple and straightforward but require extra time of PMs who would utilize the coordinator to assist with taking initial meeting notes for PM. Also possible final edits and review.
6.Property & Casualty insurance knowledge and experience is a plus, Since client is a large regional Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance carrier topics for the AP software implementation project typically include some level of P&C terminology. The P&C skill set is not an absolute requirement but would be a plus.

Additional requirements:

  • Must be U.S Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Bachelors Degree in related field is strongly preferred.
  • Light project experience with strong knowledge of project issues pertaining to area of assignment.
  • General understanding of budgeting and accounting concepts.
  • Ability to work as needed with an external vendor and diverse group of people.
  • Knowledge of resource planning/tracking.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of budget and resource forecasting.
