Sales and Marketing Analyst - Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This person is a strong, analytically minded individual to help support and grow all sales. This person will contribute to the companys success by supporting the sales team with comprehensive sales analysis. They will be responsible to delivery key insights, tactics and strategies to help support the growth plan. They will be an integrated part of a team with the autonomy to develop new practices, insights and tools that will support the annual operating plan. Primary duties and responsibilities: Examine a projects return on investment. Identify new market opportunities. Complete concept-testing for new products. Perform extensive market research. Determine brand perceptions and reputations. Evaluate market penetration. Develop groups and solicit customer feedback. Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships. Identify positive financial outcomes to increase profitability. Create databases and capture market data. Analyze competitors. Assess clients promotional needs. Evaluate demographics, prices, distribution channels, and marketing outlets. Develop sales strategies in tandem with marketing department. Meet with clients to ascertain marketing goals. Create questionnaires and surveys. Conduct secondary research, including finding information from industry associations, statisticians and marketing experts. Generate reports that analyze competition and customers. Offer insights about product potentials. Responsible for maintaining files to calculate customer prices and creating customer quote pricing. Be familiar with advanced statistical analysis and research methodologies, along with common computer programs. Requirements Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge: BS/BA degree with at least 5+ years of sales, category, or business analyst experience Develop strong business recommendations that contribute to maximizing sales plans and customer support Demonstrated success in sales, category management and analytics supporting key accounts Ability to complete projects and organize work independently Exceptional ability to develop his/her own oral and visual presentations, spreadsheets and general correspondence with PC (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and ability to write well) Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to understand consumers, their motivations and purchase behaviors, especially in the areas of diet, health and nutrition.
