We currently have an opening for an Equipment Operator at our power plant in Auburndale, Florida
S ummary of Job Duties:
Performs duties relevant to all phases of Tire Pad, Wood Yard and Ash Management Building operations.
Monitors and directs receiving fuel on the tire pad and wood yard. Screens loads for unacceptable waste and fills out appropriate inspection reports.
Assists Tire Pad and Dozer Operator in implementation of good fuel management.
Ensures Wood Yard is clear of obstacles and that traffic flows smoothly. (where applicable)
Loads metal trucks (where applicable).
Safely and effectively operates heavy equipment in the course of daily operations.
Performs routine maintenance checks on mobile equipment and reports malfunctions.
Operates other equipment including, but not limited to, industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and other mobile equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Works 12 hour rotating shift.
Works overtime as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
Mechanical abilities sufficient to perform equipment maintenance, minor repairs and general preventative maintenance.
Six months experience or related training desirable.
