About this job
Direct management of specific Wal-Mart, Inc. geography to build strong internal/external customer relationships, which enables the achievement of maximum account development and field team execution. The Customer Management Account Representative is responsible for building strong business relationships with Wal-Mart Market Managers and key store/club leadership teams in conjunction with the local Frito Lay Zone and Sales Leader. He/she is responsible for aligning internal Frito-Lay Zones and SDL's to Period, Quarterly, and YTD National and local selling initiatives.
Achieve Sales Plan
Develop business relationships/rapport with Wal-Mart Market Managers and Key Store/Club leadership (bottom 25% focus)
Penetrate / educate / sell at Market Manager level
Penetrate Bottom 25% Stores / Club in geography
Ensure all National programs are being supported at Market / Zone /District Level
Align Zones and SDL's to all company approved
Sell incremental placements for cross docks
Sell additional store level initiatives to drive incremental sales (SOTC marketing events)
Sell incremental permanent equipment (crunch carts, snack zones, freeze racks, fixture upgrades, etc.)
Support resolution of store level issues
Participate in weekly/Qtrly planning call / Mtg.
Provide analysis of business results in assigned geographies
Provide execution tracking of key initiatives in assigned geographies
Develop internal/external sales presentations to present at Zone meetings
Leverage internal/external communication at internal / external selling meetings
Perform "work-withs" with bottom performing Zones / SDL's
Coach/develop others (Build bench for District Sales Leads to Jr. Regional Sales Manager role)
Qualifications / Requirements
3 years sales experience within the CPG industry, DSD experience a plus
Strong people and leadership skills with track record of achieving positive business results
Effective presentation, facilitation, and communication (verbal/written) skills
Position will require travel within region. Will visit various accounts during the week (about 80% of time day trips) within his / her portion of the region, primarily by car. Some overnight stays may be required
Bachelor's Degree and/ or equivalent work experience
