We are currently seeking an Enterprise Information Architect with advanced data modeling skills to work as part of the Optum Data Management team at UnitedHealth Group. This role will be involved in the strategy and logical design of data models for UHG. The new hire will be working on strategic projects that focus on complex business requirements. The Enterprise Information Architect is involved in the simplification and modernization of UnitedHealth Group.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of various data subject area data models (e.g. Provider, Customer, Individual, Clinical, Claims)
- Defining relationships and touch points between data subject areas
- Requirements gathering sessions
- Requirements mapping and gap analysis
- Analyzing complex data structures
- Semantic transformation specifications
- Composition of accurate and complete definitions for entities and attributes
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent work experience
- Experience in building complex, large scale logical data models with ERwin, ER Studio, PowerDesigner or another data modeling tool
- Enterprise Information Architect experience
- Experience in Data Architecture and Database design
- Experience with database technologies (e.g. Oracle, DB2, SQLServer)
- Experience working with healthcare data
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in formal delivery methodologies and platforms as they relate to enterprise information architecture, including hands on technology experience
- Experience with Enterprise Information Integration
- Experience in data quality and data integration
- Experience with large scale data remediation projects
- Experience with Agile
- Certified in TOGAF, CBIP, DataVault, and/or other relevant credentials
