The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Manager for our Critical Infrastructure group that is a department of TWC ' s Technology and Network Operations organization. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Position Summary
Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the Critical Infrastructure department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Typically has 7 - 10 years relevant experience.

Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for managing the activities of a technical team that provides support to infrastructure (network, storage, servers, etc.) for a 24 x 7 data center. Scope includes adds, moves and changes, communications / cable plant installation and smart hands services. Duties will include assigning tasks to team members as needed to support the operations of the data center and provide technical leadership for Market Data Center Team.
- Develops policies and procedures for systems support, on call rotation, disaster recovery, and performance/capacity monitoring.
- Ensures that best practices, standards and operational guidelines are followed to create a highly available data center.
- Creates and maintains a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation.
- Communicates regularly with staff on progress toward defined goals and/or required results, providing specific feedback and initiating corrective action when defined goals and/or required results are not met.
- Manages the negotiation and selection of outside contractor services and products to meet and align with CI objectives.
- Plans and budgets for facilities improvements to comply with guidelines and handle expansions based on customer and utilization growth.
- Responsible for the management of associates including: performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow planning and day-to-day administration, hiring and placement, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintains performance information for Market DC supported systems. Produces monthly reports on the health of CI including weekly team status reports Monitors performance, defines goals and recognizes achievements of Market DC operations staff. Also, manages on-call rotation and prompt resolution of operational incidents on a 24-hour basis. Manages internal training to ensure all personnel are proficient in every aspect of the operations process.
- Develops and executes preventative maintenance programs for facilities ' HVAC systems, power systems, fire suppression systems, security, and buildings.
- Develops and executes emergency maintenance program for facilities ' HVAC systems, power systems, fire suppression systems, security and buildings.
- Provides regular high level and detailed reports of facilities statuses to both management and frontline personnel to drive performance improvement.
- Responsible for Relationship Management with IT counterparts and customers.
- Provides day-to-day leadership and works with staff to ensure a high performance, customer service-oriented work environment that supports achieving the department’s mission, objectives and values regarding team building and employee empowerment; applies process improvement and quality management principles to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Works with the GNOC team to define incident response guidelines for all the systems supported by the Market DC.

Job Requirements:
Consistent with a 24 X 7 Operations environment, this position needs to be available to respond to escalated issues.
Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills are required. , In depth knowledge of network systems, data center operations and cabling installation is required.
The ability to perform under pressure and utilize command skills in a must.
Must be able to troubleshoot complex systems and devices.
Ability to weigh trade-offs between cost, time, complexity, and ease-of-use.
Ability to identify scope expansion and manage expectations accordingly.
Ability to work with Engineering and IT managers, testing and project management teams effectively.
Ability to manage relationships and expectations of the business users and work with staff at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and strong collaboration skills.
The candidate must be a team player, with an inherent ability to work well under tight timelines, and have strong problem-solving capabilities.
Must have a thorough understanding of CI operating systems and equipment, including electrical distribution systems, stand-by power generation systems, UPS systems, -48V DC Plants, rectifiers, and inverters, HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, security and surveillance systems, and physical and environmental monitoring systems.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.

Travel Requirements: 40-50%
