Plastics Process Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a Process Engineer to join their team in their Winchester Kentucky manufacturing campus. This position will be responsible for the development, design and process improvement of our manufacturing operations. The right candidate must have experience with injection molding machinery, robotics and other high-level machine controls systems.

*Injection Molding Process Engineer (extrusion experience a plus) who can develop, troubleshoot and improve processes.
*Works with maintenance to insure the machines are operating properly.
*Performs material trials, captures data and provides feedback in order to improve overall manufacturing process. Works closely with our quality and material purchasing department to ensure product integrity.
*Oversee the training and development of our shift process technicians.
*Assist in the management of tool maintenance and repair.

Qualifications:

Candidate must have first-hand working knowledge of the injection molding process and the relationships that exist between the mold, machine, material and automated robotic part removal.
*Intimate knowledge of the injection molding process. Highly skilled in understanding the relationships between time, temperature and pressure variables when diagnosing molding problems.
*Must have 5- 10 years of experience as a Process Engineer/Technician in an injection molding facility.
