POSITION PURPOSE -
The Marketing Analyst works closely with multi-disciplinary, cross-channel teams, analyzing results and developing actionable insights from marketing campaigns. He/she will work to help optimize campaigns and programs, track and analyze test-and-learn plans and initiatives, and track KPIs based on objectives, measurement, and analytics plans.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
40%-Perform data mining/extraction and analysis of marketing campaigns including customer profiles, channel strategies, communication strategies, customer segmentation, reporting, and testing for cross-functional teams, including Merchandise Marketing team and channel partners

30%-Inform media and communication plans through the delivery of analysis, meaningful and actionable insights, knowledge of results, and customer behavior

20%-Assists with the execution of ad hoc strategic marketing projects as assigned. This may include the development of presentations (internal and external), communication and monitoring of timing and action plans to ensure milestones are successfully reached and deliverables are successfully executed

10%-Apply customer behavior insights to recommend and test variables such as timing, segments, messaging, creative, offers to optimize performance

NATURE AND SCOPE -
Position reports to Director Merchandise Marketing. This position has no direct reports

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
Must be eighteen years of age
Must pass the Drug Test
Must pass the Background Check
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 2

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
2 years Marketing Analytical experience

Strong familiarity with the digital environment

Experience in some or all of the following areas of marketing analysis: segmentation, predictive analytics, digital analytics, measurement, business intelligence, and/or market research

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and some SAS/SQL required. Experience with Unica, teradata, and/or Hadoop preferred.

Solves problems by proactively thinking through approaches to the data or analysis based on the objectives of the assignment

Participates as a collaborative team member, holding himself/herself and the team accountable for the work

Solid quantitative and research skills and proven data interpretation capabilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to prepare clear and concise leadership ready documents
