Are you looking to lend your expertise to a successful architectural engagement? In this exciting new role, as a Healthcare provider Java Architect, you will have responsibility to lead the technical architecture and design process during customer engagements while partnering closely with the Solution Engineering Team. You will also present the technical and business architectural solution to clients.
Ideally, this position will be located in Minnetonka, MN; Hartford, CT; Basking Ridge, NJ; Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA. We will also consider telecommuters. This position will require up to 50% travel.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop strong partner relationships to accelerate customer engagements and expand the OGS solution offerings
- Capability to execute in the context of 3rd party technology/architectures including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, Enterprise Data Warehouses, Enterprise Imaging systems, Clinical Messaging systems and /or Patient Engagement systems etc..
- Mentor field technical roles on Healthcare solutions, platforms & customer requirements & considerations
- Demonstrate thought leadership through publication, presentations, white papers and event participation
Requirements
Primary Qualifications:
- 14 or more years of broad experience in IT
- 10 or more years of development/ architecture experience with Java, JavaScript, Spring, JSP, J2EE application servers WebLogic, JBoss or WebSphere & Oracle
- 8 or more years of Technical Architect experience on Java/J2EE technology
- 5 or more years of demonstrated experience in an enterprise, solution, application, or information architecture role in Healthcare Provider space
- Hands on experience on J2EE frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Web services and application deployment technology, application platform configuration and performance optimization
- Deep applied healthcare knowledge demonstrated in all or some of the areas of Hospital Management System, Revenue Cycle Management, Practice management, Electronic Medical Records systems, HL7 interfaces / integration, Telehealth systems, Provider / Patient Portals, Electronic Data Warehousing and/or Care Management applications, communication & messaging systems
- Ability to act as a reviewer to review design / code written by engineering team
- Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters in Engineering / Information Technology
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a global team environment
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience in direct customer interfacing and interaction
- Experience in Agile SCRUM development methodology
- Experience in AJAX / JavaScript / Front-end frameworks
- Certification in TOGAF
- Excellent written / verbal communication skills and a good collaborator / team player
- Strong analytical, problem solving and quantitative skills
