Please note this position has more Electro-mechanical assembly and production background. High School and Technical training/schooling is required. Candidate must know how to read schematics and assembly drawings. As well as wire types; this is very important.
Position Summary
Under limited supervision, performs electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, and wiring of moderate complexity. Works from production and assembly drawings, parts list, diagrams, schematics and verbal instructions.
Essential Job Functions
- Electrical and mechanical assembly of company products using hand and power tools
- Knowledge of various hardware sizes and threads and wire types and gages
- Solder, touch-up, component identification, and component prep
Learning Period
- 1-3 months
Working Conditions
- OSHA compliant manufacturing facility
- Utilizes a wide variety of hand and power tools
- Lifts up to 50 pounds
Education/License Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical schooling (or equivalent experience in electrical assembly) required
Experience Requirements
- Prior experience in electrical assembly, wiring, or soldering (or technical schooling) required
Competencies
- Solder, touch-up, perform component identification, and component prep
- Read and understand assembly blueprints, electrical schematics and diagrams
- Use a wide variety of hand and power tools
