MUST HAVE
- 3+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication ( sheet metal, materials, components, fabrication processes, welding processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities)
- Experience with metal cutting and forming
- Hands on CNC experience (programming is a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering role
- Kaizen experience - leading a Kaizen event or having a prominent role
- Experience working cross-departmentally with quality - experience with APQP process
- Hands On
- Must be able to jump into capital projects on day one
- Must be able to assist in Kaizen Events on Day 1
- Will be evaluated on cost savings ability
NICE TO HAVE
-Plating& Heat Treating
-Lean Certifications (Green Belt)
-Welding Experience (Robotic would be best)
- Mechanical/ Design background
Develop and improve manufacturing processes in support of new and existing product to ensure timely delivery of quality product.
* Provide Manufacturing Engineering support (laser cutting, forming, welding, turrets, paint line)
* Assist APQP process
* Champion process/product improvement initiatives
* Create welding fixtures and validate welding process capabilities
* May assist in flat blank development, ECN, Print creation
* Assist/Lead capital expenses projects
* Interact daily with Sales, Production, & Quality personnel
* Able to manages projects and meet strict deadlines.
