About this job

Accountable for developing, implementing and directing the strategic and tactical components of the corporate security program within assigned region of responsibility. Aligns regional security operations to support business unit operations and objectives as appropriate and maintains coordination with other functional entities, including Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Human Resources. Directs the proprietary and contract security staff in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes across the region to detect and reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability in order to ensure a safe working environment and eliminate or reduce financial loss and reputational damage to the corporation. Ensures all security activities are in compliance with corporate policies and legal and regulatory requirements. Prepares and manages both the expense and capital operating budgets for regional corporate security operations. Provides leadership to the regional security team members by communicating and modeling the company mission, values and leadership philosophies. Facilitates two-way communication with team and completes perfomance reviews as required. Ensures the professional development of subordinates. Manages contracts with external service providers, including security guard services and technology installation and maintenance. Develops complex and cost effective security improvement programs across business units designed to safeguard organization assets and personnel. Manages facility security design and planning and directs the installation standards for regional facilities. Creates and manages business critical security projects and programs with significant financial and or legal impact on a regional level. Coordinates the approach and conducts investigations of criminal acts, unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, product tampering, sabotage or loss. Directs the scope and approach of security assessments, submits recommendations and initiates corrective action for prevention or to meet regulatory compliance. Develops and documents standards for measuring efficiency and effectiveness of security programs. Reviews statistical data and briefs senior management on the status of security issues within assigned region of responsibility. Conducts security awareness education and workplace violence training programs. Provides backup coverage for other Regional Security Managers and is on-call for response to corporate locations both local and nationally as needed and often on limited notice. Develops working relationships with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in assigned region.

Required Qualifications • 7 years of Loss Prevention and or Corporate Security experience.

• Prior management experience including coaching, mentoring and developing direct reports.

• Fluent computer skills in windows based applications, with emphasis in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Preferred Qualifications • 8-10 years working in a corporate security organization

• Certified Protection Professional (CPP) desired.

• Bachelors Degree strongly preferred.

Education Bachelors Degree or equivalent years of related professional work experience.
