Job Description/Objective:

Oversee the production line and production employees. Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to team while working urgently to produce high quality product in a highly efficient manner while adhering to the safety standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate all production machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the production team.  Have a desire to win, every day.
  • Perform with integrity, honesty, fairness, and equality.
  • Lead team to meet highest quality expectation, without compromise.
  • Lead team to adhere to company safety standards.
  • Lead team to produce at highest efficiency, each and every day.
  • Lead and train line personnel.
  • Exhibit ownership over the direction of the production line.
  • Communicate and direct the needs of the line to maintenance, lab, and warehouse personnel.
  • Lead team and assist with executing and maintaining ISO standard efforts.
  • Ensure proper GMP’s.
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Delegate tasks to team personnel
  • Lead team meetings when necessary
  • Participate in planning meetings with plant leadership
  • Participate in coaching of team members
  • Participate in management downtime meetings as needed
  • Communicate with and motivate team members
  • Initiate and communicate personnel and/or mechanical issues with supervisor or manager.
  • Ensure daily downtime report is completed with L I S. and T P M and 4 hour sheets.
  • Show strong initiative, be self-driven, show a positive teamwork attitude, strong communication skills, willing to work with and motivate others, a desire for top performance, dependable, driven to push line performance, strive to reduce downtime, assist with maintenance issues, and exhibit a desire to learn. Be a self-starter.
  • Create and confirm Production Orders in SAP.
  • Responsible for communicating temporary employee needs and training new temporary employees.
  • Handle incoming/outgoing temporary employee time cards
  • Use computer to initiate and update reports.  Utilize email as a communication tool.
  • Print SAP Efficiency and Yield Reports.
  • Work


Minimum Qualifications/Requirements;

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year similar machine operator experience preferred
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to become forklift certified
  • Must be able to lift 50-55 lbs
  • Strong Analytical, Technical, Problem Solving, and Communication Skills
  • Ability to visually observe the operations of the equipment and physically address machine   

     problems

  • Ability to duck under production line conveyor or climb a flight of stairs
  • Ability to work in a non-air conditioned environment with exposure to extreme temperature  

     variations and excessive noise levels

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and move over and around production equipment

     safely.
