Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides day-to-day technical support of OptumInsight environment that includes SQL Server and Windows servers.


• Provides general technical support to the OptumInsight environment which includes troubleshooting and resolving production issues as they arise


• Could install, configure, and/or troubleshoot infrastructure systems


• On call for support escalations. May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects


• Must possess strong SQL Server skills (both management and T-SQL)


• Serve as the lead for the support team thus directly interface with business partners as well as manage support staff within Franklin office


• Coordinate the processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs


• Monitors environment health and the facilitation of high severity incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuity


• This function also includes those who operate and monitor computer and peripheral equipment


• Coordinates the efforts of all functions to complete scheduled jobs in a timely manner


• Documents all problems (hardware, application, facility, etc.) and takes corrective action as required


• Interfaces with other departments as required


• Reviews the work of others


• Develops innovative approaches


• Sought out as expert


• Serves as a leader/ mentor

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma/GED + 3 years of equivalent work experience


• 4+ years of SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 experience including T-SQL


• 4+ years of Windows Server 2003/2008 experience


• 4+ years of troubleshooting experience for IT infrastructure system resolution
