41511 - Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager (I) for a Regional Operations Support (ROS) position for the New Paltz, New York area. The typical work schedule will be 10 days on with 4 days off. Position assists in supporting various accounts with all areas of food service management and transitions. These are Continuing Care Retirement Communities. Travel is required and the ideal candidate will be located in Northeast, USA . This is a great opportunity to learn Sodexo systems while being considered for permanent placement with Sodexo. This is a Temporary (Regional Operations Support ROS) that may run from 6 months up to one year. Temporary positions are not permanent positions and once hired into this role, this candidate will need to post to positions of interest in order to be considered for a permanent position. Position manages the Sodexo Programs, customer service activities; cost controls, and will provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace.

Ideal candidate/Certifications:

A Formal Degree/Trade School Certificate, Servsafe Certificate

Food Service supervisory experience in Healthcare / Senior Dining

Detailed knowledge of HACCP and Department of Health Regulations

HR skills to train & develop hourly employees

Experience with wait staff service, retail cafe, and catering

Hands on food production experience and on-line ordering

Financial skills to assist with food & labor costs controls

Schedule will vary by account needs; may include some day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Position Summary

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
