Environmental Service Worker 1

Responsible for the safe, clean and aseptic maintenance of the institution and selected medical equipment as directed by departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for all assigned equipment. Must be available to all campuses if needed. Employees may be asked to perform specific housekeeping tasks, at any time. Works efficiently and effectively to maximize the department resources and control costs within the facility.

*Cleaning of patient and public areas - 25%
*Cleaning of selected pieces of medical equipment (Varies amongst facilities) - 15%
*Equipment care and supplies - 15%
*Transports trash and infectious waste - 10%
*Patient Beds and Room Set-ups - 10%
*Promotes and maintains positive relationships with all contacts - 10%
*Complies with all department and hospital policies and procedures - 10%
*Contributes to the fulfillment of the hospital and department objectives - 5%
