The successful Leave Administration Supervisor will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and two plus years of benefits and/or leave-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of staff.
  • Advanced computer expertise that includes proficiency in databases, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to solve system and process issues.

 

The Leave Administration Supervisor is a mid-level position in DISH's corporate Human Resources department. This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of HR tasks related to Leave Administration.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Supervises day-to-day tasks of 4-5 Leave Specialists.
  • Maintains Leave-related HRIS systems: ensuring integrity of leave data, on-line and phone data submissions, auditing HRIS systems for correct information.
  • Coordinates leave activities: answering escalated calls from leave administration phone line, assisting employees with paperwork, and answering plan questions.
  • Coordinates with employees, managers and HR relating to leaves.
  • Prepares reports: creates, produces and audits standardized Leave reports for the business and internal HR use.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge related to FMLA, Disability and Personal Leaves of Absence policies and regulations to ensure DISH's policies are compliant with applicable Federal and State laws.
  • Able to clearly communicate applicable plan and policy information with staff, employees, managers and HR.
