Exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in the specialty pharmacy to excel in a complex, high impact customer service role and positively impact the lives of others. Responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions and formulary changes. Additional responsibilities include resolving and entering incomplete prescriptions after clarification is obtained including functions not limited to production, shipping orders, refill reminders, inventory control, customer service, and register work. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, customer focus, team orientation and problem solving abilities
Required Qualifications *Must be detailed oriented
*Must have a sense of urgency and be accurate
*Must be licensed with the state of Tennessee as a Pharmacy Technician
*Must have National Pharmacy Technician Certification
*Must be flexible and enjoy working in a fast paced, team oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications *Previous retail, mail order or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
*Previous shipping experience preferred
Education *Education
Verifiable GED or high school diploma required
Clinical Licensure Required Pharmacy Technician
