Job Description

The Tax Assistant Analyst is to assist and work with PepsiCo's income tax team which is responsible for activities associated with the complete income tax cycle of the Company's U.S. food business (Frito-Lay/FLUS and Quaker Foods/QFUS) and the Company's Shared Services activities based in Plano, Texas. The team's responsibility also includes reviewing income tax forecast and reporting for PepsiCo's business in the Latin America region (Latin America Food/LAF and Latin America Beverages/LAB). The combined net revenue of the underlying business exceeds 24 billion.

Essential job responsibilities :

Prepare U.S. federal income tax returns for Frito-Lay, Quaker, and Shared Services, which are included in the consolidated PepsiCo, Inc. filing.

Prepare separate state and local income tax returns and certain PepsiCo's unitary state income tax filings.

Assist in forecasting effective tax rate and cash tax for planning and quarterly reporting.

Assist with quarterly and year-end income tax provision (FAS 109 reporting).

Assist in providing support for federal and state income tax audit defense.

Assist in tax planning and research projects.

Stay informed about the Company's ongoing business activities and results of operations in consideration of income tax implication.

Qualification / Requirement

BA or BS in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum 2 years of income tax compliance/accounting experience.

Basic federal and state income tax knowledge.

Basic tax accounting knowledge (FAS 109/ASC-740).

Strong analytical skills.

Ability to generate creative ideas and solutions, prioritize and deliver results.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Self-starter with ability to manage competing projects in time-constrained environment.

Proficient use of computers and experience with tax software CorpTax a plus.
