Overview:

Bloomingdale's is seeking a highly energetic, support associate to join our Ladies Shoes team.

As a Bloomingdale's Operating Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales Manager to achieve sales, service and loyalty results. You will contribute to the supervision and development of associates and foster a clean, neat and easy to shop environment. You will also be responsible for maintaining all workload completion, stockroom and other operating standards.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Support the SM in driving Bloomingdale's Sales, Service and Loyalty priorities
  • Monitor Selling Floor Standards including merchandising, event set up, visual changes, and supplies, outposts and table/tower programs and addresses as necessary
  • Demonstrate awareness of key sales drivers including sales by line, new vendors, new launches and promotions
  • Maintain stockroom standards, manage inventory control and audit standard and execute seasonal Inventory
  • Assist SM with Scheduling and TIA Administration; assist SM with planning and coordinating Bloomingdale's and vendor training for team members
  • Administer Office activities; participate in department meetings, conference calls and store meetings; handle customer issues as needed

Skills Summary:
  • Ability to balance priorities, meet deadlines and be flexible with task assignments
  • Strong communication skills and high confidence level
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities, ability to work a flex schedule including nights and weekends as needed
  • Technical competencies in Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word/Excel, TIA System, Pipeline and Fedstart
