Key Responsibilities


Responsible for the production scheduling function. Responsible for managing aged inventory and monitoring demand and planned production requirements. Adjust production as needed to meet established service requirements. Accurately enters data onto computer from sales orders and reports. Runs and issues Material Requirements Planning and Work-in-Process status reports. Creates and issues production work orders. Updates capacity planning and master schedule. Operates computer and uses inventory control and shop-floor programs to produce scheduled daily, weekly, or ad-hoc reports. Reviews open order report information, verifies accuracy or investigates and corrects discrepancies. Develops work order product priority for production. Determines production material required; verifies quantities available. Communicates type of materials approaching critical re-order levels to purchasing function to assure material is available for production requirements. Stores, maintains and safe guards inventory file print-outs, and bills-of-material. Maintains item master planning data and requests product costing. Files completed work orders, reports, correspondence, papers, as required. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

High school diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. At least two years of directly applicable experience required

Functional and Technical Skills

Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations including decimals, fractions, percents, and metric conversions. Must be able to operate a personal computer and perform accurate data entry operations. Must be able to manage multiple projects. Must be able to wear required PPE equipment for the plant environment.
