This role is a unique opportunity to promote, educate and sell a new membership experience uncommon to the healthcare delivery space. This role is directly responsible for selling to individuals and small group customers in the 1-99 member/employee space. 


 


This role will work directly with brokers/agents to distribute products. Unlike conventional broker distribution models we will offer products through a specialized limited broker channel. This role will work with sales leadership to identify, select and partner with the broker distribution channel. This role will be responsible to meeting all new business membership goals through cultivating strategic broker relationships.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for achieving annual sales goals for medical and specialty benefits products to small business (1 to 99 employees) and individual customers. This includes:

    • Curating a customized broker distribution channel
    • Educating broker channel on medical and ancillary products and offerings
    • Effectively differentiating our offering from other insurance carrier offerings
    • Positioning our solution to individuals and small group membership needs in the local marketplace
    • Strategically thinking how we can capture membership through a limited broker channel
    • Presenting us as a solution for customer finalist presentations

  • Develop and growth small group rfp pipeline through broker channel
  • Live the Ethos of forging deep lasting relationships that impact lives
  • Community involvement through professional organizations, associations and local organizations
  • Understand goals, operating principles, strategies and competitive position of the business
  • Understand medical and specialty management operations and strategies
  • Understand financing methodologies and strategies (fully insured)
  • Firm grasp of healthcare reform
  • Excellent presentation skills

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Excellent group benefits and marketplace dynamics knowledge
  • 2+ year of group health/ancillary sales experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Successful track record of outperforming sales metrics
  • Organized with strong computer skills
  • Sales insurance license maintained by law
  • Maintains valid driver's license
