Position Title: Designer - Transportation

Position Description

KBR is seeking a(n) Designer -- Transportation for a direct hire opportunity in Houston, Austin or Dallas, TX

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Design of highways and roadways in Texas for public entities. May include, in addition to roadway design, traffic control, signing/pavement markings, removals, retaining walls, utilities, drainage, quantities/estimates and other tasks associated with highway design.

Utilize programs such as MicroStation, Geopak, Microsoft Office Suite for design. May include the use of SignCad and P6/Suretrak

With additional experience within one functional area, assists in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involve conventional types of plans, investigations and surveys with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.

Requirements

Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and minimum of 2 years related experience, with typical experience ranging from 3-7 years.

Roadway design experience required.

Experience on TxDOT projects.

Geopak, MicroStation and 3-D Design a plus/preferred.
