POSITION PURPOSE -

The Sr. Manager of Building Services primary role is to provide leadership for a project team of Managers responsible for the maintenance and asset preservation of Home Depot locations. Specifically, the Sr. Manager will be responsible for owning and maintaining all financial and operational aspects of the Equipment portfolio for all The Home Depot stores. This includes the capital and expense allocation for equipment assets as well as driving implementation and process improvement across several key strategic initiatives. The Sr. Manager, Building Services (Equipment) will work closely with his / her peers across the Operations organization in ensuring that the Home Depot sites maintain its brand standards for equipment within the store. The Sr. Manager will also play a key role in developing both the short and long term strategic plan for Building Services and working to ensure it is aligned with both field and SSC operational partners. To do this, , these individuals are responsible for using high-level strategic thinking to see the big picture, determine multi-faceted problems, understand the fundamental parts of the problems and communicate the problems to a project team. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining project work plans, manage issues and roadblocks faced during life of project and providing guidance and expert knowledge. Having strong communication skills and cross-functionally partnering with all Operations teams and other Home Depot functional areas is critical for success of this position.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

-20% Responsible for leading a team of managers; selection, performance evaluations, training and development of associates.
-20% Partnership with peers and business partners to create a cohesive, cross functional team.
-10% Provide escalation intervention for major repair/replace issues or large scale damage resulting from natural disasters.
-10% Develop work scope specification.
-10% Initiate, refine and implement best practices obtained through industry relationships, peers and Home Depot partnerships.
-10% Provide continuous improvement opportunities through feedback to business partners on quality of workmanship as well as budgetary responsibility (ex. Budget, Forecast, variance explanations)
-10% Create and sustain an environment of integrity, pride of accomplishment, fairness, learning and personal development.
-10% Quote, review and invoice approval for higher value repairs, remodels and capital expenditures.

NATURE AND SCOPE -Position typically reports to Director of Building Services; Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -Typically located in a comfortable indoor area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
-Must be eighteen years of age or older
-Must pass the Drug Test
-Must pass the Background Check
-Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

EDUCATION REQUIRED - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 05

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
