As a Clinical Data Analyst, you will be part of the clinical group within Humedica.  You will be working as a data detective and will participate in client implementations from the data perspective.  As part of the clinical group within Humedica you will be responsible for becoming an expert in the clinical data we obtain from our customers, by identifying and standardizing incoming data for use in our products.

 

In this role you will:


  • Be responsible for mapping client biomedical terminologies to Humedica standards

  • Be responsible for monthly review of client data and dictionary updates and implementing appropriate revisions to Humedica mapping tables

  • Participate in the verification of extraction and normalization specifications that are applied to client data

  • Participate in the ongoing invention, testing and use of clinical data quality systems

  • Work closely with clinical data analysts in the investigation of data anomalies

  • Work closely with clinical informatics specialists in knowledge representation areas

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


  • 1+ years of experience working with data, analyzing data and understanding data

  • 1+ years of experience working with SQL, whether used in your job or learned on your own

  • Working knowledge of health information systems

  • Working knowledge of relational database systems

  • Competence with PCs and Windows Office applications

  • Bachelor's degree, or work equivalent, in health sciences, health information systems, computer science, mathematics or related field

 

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Clinical or medical data analysis or management experience highly preferred

  • Understanding of clinical processes and vocabulary

  • Education that included courses in economics, mathematics, or computer science

  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Excel

 

Soft Skills:


  • Highly analytical and enjoys solving mysteries

  • Enjoys a fast paced environment and the opportunity to quickly learn new skills

  • Attention for fine details and work processes

  • Ability to work creatively and flexibly, both independently and as part of a team
