The Senior Applications Developer will be responsible for creating detailed business requirement documentation for UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Employer & Individual (E&I).  This Senior Applications Developer position will be part of a projects team, actively engaged in short and long-term initiatives in a fast-paced requirements gathering, testing and solution implementation environment. In this role, you will be involved in developing innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications and providing post production support.


 


Predominantly you will be designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver value to our organization. The successful candidate will have a positive, energetic approach with a willingness to learn new technologies.  In addition to working with salesforce.com, knowledge of relational databases and database structures will be helpful.  You will also use excellent presentation, interviewer, analysis, writing, testing, and proven project management skills.   Join us! Primary Responsibilities:  



  • Design, implement and maintain .Net application within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes

  • Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA

  • Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed

  • Identify production and non-production application issues

  • Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of .Net developed projects

  • Provide technical support and consultation for .Net application and infrastructure questions

  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced Developers

 


 





 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree


  • 1+ years experience in programming/development in Salesforce.com, V.B.Net, C#.Net, or Java


  • 1+ years experience in full Software Development Life Cycle


  • 1+ years Database experience


  • 1+ years Web development experience


  • 1+ years Microsoft Access experience

Preferred Qualifications:




  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
