About this job
Basic Job Function:
Cuts cheese into pieces of specified shape and size, examines cheese for defects in color, textures and body. Trim rind, mold, or sediment from cheese using knife.
Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent knife skills
- Able to work with others in a team environment
- Desire to learn about cheese
- Communication skills
- Attention to detail
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Cut, wrap, label and pack cheese
- Pull store cheese orders
- Confirm expiration and rotate cheese
- Pack cheese in milk crates to be placed on pallets for delivery
- Grate cheese
- In addition, other duties maybe required as directed by your manager.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time in refrigerated work areas
- Lifting loads of up to 80 lbs on your own and 200 lbs with experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions, conduct business related mathematics and analyze data as required.
