Field Reporting Accounting Associate Manager:
General Summary:
This role contributes to Pepsi Beverages Co's success by performing period and quarterly close processes for the US Bottling Field locations, providing support to BU accounting teams and senior management by coordinating Total PBC financial analysis and audit requests.
Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
Field Financial Reporting:
Complete period, quarter and annual closing of the financial statements
Review and analyze results, including comparisons to prior period, prior year, forecast, and plan
Review all Field BU journal entries to ensure accurate financials
Review periodic balance sheet reconciliations and schedules, as well as quarterly balance sheet analytics
Manage, develop and train a team of 4-5 staff
Work with Field location teams to manage timely submission of periodic result
Develop and implement key controls to ensure Field Reporting BU/Locations are aligned with PBC policies
Identify areas of opportunity for automation and simplification of the BU processes
Document all BU processes, key controls, and desktop procedures
Additional Support Tasks and Key Responsibilities:
Support Sr. Manager with consolidated PBC Field results, including analytics, risk/opps, and other ad hoc requests
Support Sr. Manager by coordinating all KPMG and internal SOX control requests for Total PBC Field
Lead special projects to improve overall Field Financial Reporting performance through process improvements and automation
Basic Job Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting and 5+ years of related experience required
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Oracle, Hyperion and Business Objects
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong project management and leadership skills
