Sodexo is seeking a General Manager / Chef Manager for our Virgin Atlantic account located in Newark Airport in Newark, NJ .
In this lead management role, you will direct and participate in all of the daily food contract operations for the Virgin Clubhouse. Responsibilities will include: menu planning, food preparation, unit financials/budgets, HR functions, food and labor cost, training, ensuring safety and sanitation guidelines, customer interaction and direct supervision of up to 7 non-union hourly associates.
Additionally, Drug Screening and Security Checks by the Federal TSA and the NJ/NY Port Authority will be required for the selected candidate.

Position Summary
Senior-most person assigned to a one client account. Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. Hires and trains unit personnel. This is a single incumbent position for a small account where there is no Chef. Reports to District Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
