Position Title: PIM Supervisor
Budgeted Department Name: Web
Reports To Title: Web Category Manager
Ownership of the copy writing team and process on the Zumiez.com website. Manages the size and activities of the copy writing team including but not limited to sample process, product production, copy (customer/SEO), image production, trouble shooting and time to live. The Copy Team Lead has a direct impact on the sales goals of the entire product mix due to the key role they play in the process of ensuring all product is live as quickly as possible with top level production for selling.
Manage a team of 3-4 web copy writers and oversee all copy and content that is created for Zumiez.com.
Ensure all merchandise is produced in a 24hr time to live process.
Delegate dept/category mix among web copywriters for production.
Ensure all copywriters understand and are directly tied to the selling results of their product mix they produce.
Work closely with Web Merchants to set goals and production targets.
Manage the production process with cross function groups which affect the production process including receiving, photo, buying and merchandising.
Build strong relationships with cross departmental groups to facilitate team building among direct reports with those other teams.
Provide feedback and input to Web Category Managers on product and production.
Have a strong understanding of Zumiez customer, product and market trends and have the ability to teach this information to the entire production team.
Requirements:
2-3 Years experience in managing a Web Copy Team.
4-5 Years Web Copy Writing/Production Experience.
2 Years experience with Magento Web Platform
BA/BS required
2 Years experience with Adobe Scene7
Ability to manage a team of 3-4 direct reports.
Understanding and experience in core MS Excel functions.
Ability to demonstrate relevant copy writing skills.
Ability to analyze sales data and use this information in decision making process.
Understanding of Zumiez customer, product mix and current market trends.
Understanding of basic SEO requirements in product merchandising.
Ability to work in cross departmental functions
Strong typing skills
