Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers hope and healing for youth ages 5 to 21 with several psychiatric diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities. Located in Portsmouth, Va., Harbor Point provides intensive, residential treatment to youth in a comfortable setting that is conducive to healing. Our facility specializes in treating children and adolescents with depression, bipolar, ADHD, and other mental health issues. We even have specific treatment programs for those with intellectual disabilities or those with self-injurious behavior.

Harbor Point and its programs are fully accredited by The Joint Commission and the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Educational Facilities. We are licensed by The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and the Virginia Department of Education. We are a TRICAREreg-approved and certified facility.

Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center is growing and in need of a PRN Licensed Clincal Social Worker to cover vacation, increase in census, etc., to provide supervision to unlicensed counselors working toward licensure, psychotherapy services for children and their families complete Bio-psychosocial evaluations, risk and psychological assessments as appropriate maintain all documentation according to facility guidelines to include progress notes, case management and individualized service plans attend all treatment teams for assigned residents attend weekly clinical supervision provide clinical support/training for mental health techs complete all progress notes and submit billing slips day of service complete psychosocial assessment within 7 days of admission complete clinical formulations prior to the development of the Master ISP complete individualized service plans within 24 hours of treatment team meeting weekend coverage on a rotating basis and other duties as assigned based on the needs of the facility.

Qualifications: An individual must be able to perform each Essential Function of the job satisfactorily. A combination of mental health experience and relevant education to deliver psychotherapy services to consumers. The required knowledge, skills, and abilities must be documented and observable in the application form and interview, and can be verified by additional references.

Education: Master's Degree in human services field, i.e. psychology, social work, counseling, or education.

Licensure/Certification: Licensed as a LCSW in the state of Virginia. Experience and credentials to provide clinical supervision to unlicensed staff preferred.

Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children or adolescents.
