ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
. Ability to perform routine and emergent XR exams. Along with the ability to perform either CT or MR exams independently.
. Must be able to perform x-ray/fluoroscopic studies in an operating room setting.
. Ability to follow physician's orders.
. Ability to acquire IV access, assesses the patency of the IV, and administers contrast material.
. Ability to look up lab values and pull related exams for radiologist viewing.
. Performs "Time Out" on all procedures, ensures universal protocols are completed on all patients by utilizing "two identifiers" per TJC NPSG standard.
. Verbalizes and demonstrates, in clinical practice, HIPAA compliance and all safety practices as supported by organizational policy and procedure.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
. Minimum one year experience as a registered Radiology Technologist in an acute care facility preferred.
. 1-2 years of experience in two modalities (i.e. CT, MR, IR or Cath Lab) strongly preferred.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
. Diploma from a certified school of radiology technology.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
. Current California Radiology Technologist (CRT) with fluoroscopy licensure required.
. Current American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required.
. Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
