Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health , founded in 1986, is an 82 bed facility within the city of Norfolk, Virginia. Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health offers comprehensive mental health programs to the state of Virginia. We provide psychiatrically and medically managed acute and residential treatment for children and adolescents with significant impairments in their social and emotional development. We provide quality care to children and adolescents in need using quality, evidence based practice treatments. We are accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), and are licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health currently has a PRN Housekeeper position available. The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

Maintains the facility in a clean, sanitary, orderly and attractive condition to provide a suitable environment for patients, staff and visitors. Evening and weekend hours are required.

Education

High school graduate, GED or equivalent experience.

Experience

One or more year's housekeeping experience preferred.

Knowledge

Must possess knowledge of and ability to use cleaning equipment and compounds ability to operate all cleaning equipment to follow written and oral instructions.

Supervision Received Director of Plant Operations/Designee Quarterly

Working Conditions

Works in and around Acute Care and Residential Treatment Center including general office areas and clinical areas. Some risk involved in the event of aggressive/out-of- control resident.

Requires physical exertion and flexibility to stoop, climb, lift weight in excess of 30lbs. good hearing and vision mobility and dexterity in both arms to operate tools exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures shift may involve evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime.
