Located on Saint Simons Island, Ga., Saint Simons By-The-Sea's serene island setting ensures privacy and anonymity, enabling the patient to concentrate on recovery. Our hospital is conveniently located within driving distance of Jacksonville, FL, Savannah, GA, and other surrounding cities in the South Georgia and Northern Florida region. Saint Simons By-The-Sea's staff has extensive experience in the fields of addiction treatment, recovery, relapse prevention and mental health treatment.
Saint Simons By-The-Sea is seeking a Driver to assist with transportation of patients. Initially, the position will be PRN, with the possibility of changing to full-time in the future
Job Duties include:
Providing transportation for patients to and from the hospital.
Calling to confirm the patients to be picked up for treatment that day.
Ensuring all safety measures are adhered in the van while driving.
Reporting all van maintenance problems to the Director of Plant Operations.
Responsible for ensuring that the van log is current.
Communicating with Charge Nurse regarding patient care issues.
Ensuring that they drive to the designated locations utilizing the most efficient routes.
Maintaining a clean environment for patients at all times.
Demonstrating sound judgment regarding patient safety.
High school diploma or equivalent required. One (1) year hospital experience and at least two (2) years college preferred. Current Georgia driver's license is required, class D preferred. Satisfactory driving record required. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be flexible and available at all times for transport.
