Oak Plains Academy has a dynamic team of Clinical Therapists who are all supported by an atmosphere of teamwork and mutual respect. All of the Clinical Therapists are encouraged to seek out continuing education programs such as DBT, TF-CBT, EMDDR and other therapeutic modalities to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge base. In addition, we have major licensure tracks covered including LCSW and LPC in house for clinical supervision.
The Therapist Internship has an assigned caseload for which he/she provides individual, family, and group therapy, case management services, representation at treatment team meetings, coordinates discharge planning, and completes documentation for services provided designs and supervises behavior analytic interventions.
Physical Demands: Moderate to heavy. Satisfactory health, strength and stamina to meet the physical, mental and emotional demands and stressors that position requires: walking, running, standing, lifting and irregular working hours.
The Therapist Internship position requires a minimum of a Bachlor's Degree in Psychology, or Social Work, or related field from an accredited program and is currently enrolled in a Master's Program in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related fieldd from an accredited graduate program.
