In this role, you will be involved in developing innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications and providing post production support. Predominantly you will be designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver value to our organization.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work with software development professionals building J2EE applications
  • Building and managing relationships with business team to understand their goals
  • Engaging in application architecture and design decisions
  • Implementing/maintaining software in a repeatable iterative development methodology
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with SDLC processes
  • Communicating with stakeholders and management team on a regular basis in a concise manner
  • Troubleshoot production support issues post release deployment and implement solutions. Ability to solve complex production issues
  • Reviews the work of others.
  • Develops innovative approaches.
  • Sought out as expert.
  • Serves as a leader/ mentor.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of Java/J2EE application development experience, including an understanding of application architecture and design
  • Experience with one or more of the following: 
    • Spring(3.x+)
    • Hibernate (4.x+) or JPA (2.0), 
    • JMS
    • Eclipse (Juno+)
    • SQL
    • Web and RESTful services (CXF or Jersey or Metro or Axis)
  • Experience delivering web-based technology solutions to meet business needs
  • Proven success using and driving a repeatable, iterative software development methodology
  • Experience in working Unix platform
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Java 5+ certified
  • Experience delivering in an Agile/Scrum Sprint cycle
  • Experience with WebSphere, AngularJS, Scala, JQuery, JMS, JSP, CQ5, HTML/CSS 
  • Experience with Apache, Maven, and/or JavaScript
  • Experience with WSDL, SOAP, XML Schemas, JDBC, Unix batch scripting 
  • Experience with offshore resources
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry
