About this job
Monitor assigned engines, from induction to dispatch, providing planning focus to ensure the 'Gated Milestones' are achieved in line with the TAESL Engine Streamer. Work within the team to execute the planning, scheduling and parts expediting required to meet the business plan of our customers. Reviews workload with Shop Supervisors and recommends priority and flow changes based on analysis of workload. Recommends modifications to improve shop efficiencies. Provide detailed parts logistics for daily production meetings with the team. Prepares and provides a detailed plan to incorporate "forward scheduling" to Production and Kitting organizations. Coordinates parts kitting through interaction with other departments to assure parts are received on time and in required quantities. Recommends parts pool additions/deletions based on repair turn time and specifications.
Qualifications
College degree in a technical field or A&P license or Five years experience in Production, Production Control or Logistics planning or material control planning. APICS certification is a plus.
Functional understanding of Inventory or Material Control principles and performance measurement required.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and or Continuous Process Improvement Principles preferred.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
Excellent organizational skill is required.
Must be computer literate at PC level.
Demonstrated competency in SMAARTS/SAP/ESS/View Direct.
Level will depend on experience.
Must be willing to work weekends & rotating shifts.
