Maintenance Technician III

Maintenance of plant property not limited to building grounds, HVAC, generators, sprinkler systems, security systems, etc. Must be able to maintain minimum performance standards while performing required job functions Assisting supervisor with planning and coordinating the maintenance and repair of conveyor, machines and equipment Ensuring that all work, including work performed by subcontractors, is done in accordance with OSHA regulations and Carter's safety rules Maintaining good housekeeping and working well with management, peers and subordinate employees to maximize productivity while minimizing employee conflict Ability to provide guidance to peers on the production floor

Experience and Skills

Must have experience with high speed sortation systems, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) knowledge and troubleshooting Must have experience with conveyors, 24 VDC/120 VAC control device experience, mig welding, stick welding, 460 volt 3 phase hands on experience, material handling experience (MHE), pneumatic and hydraulic experience Must be able to use power tools and electronic testing equipment Must have experience with operating machinery, minor repairs and troubleshooting Must be able to use all routine industrial hand tools Must be able to read and use tape measures, levels, etc. Must be computer literate Must be able to pass equipment training including scissor lift, stock picker, reach truck, pallet truck, and turret truck Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record OSHA training required Prior leadership is preferred, but not required Must have high school diploma or GED 3+ years of maintenance experience Must be able to lift 45 pounds individually and 100 pounds with team assistance Must be able to walk and climb stairs Must be able to use ladders and squat and bend doing maintenance on conveyors Must be available to work 14 consecutive days in a row during peak season Comply with Blackout Periods as determined by Management Holiday Schedule To Be Decided by Management Based Upon Forecast Carters is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
