About this job

We are seeking energetic and self-motivated individuals to fill the Customer Service Representative position. This position is responsible for providing a well stocked and maintained department while providing superior customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION, other duties may be assigned:

- Compliance with departmental SOPS and store operating procedures

- Assist with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves product

- Merchandises products effectively

- Provide excellent customer service

- Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections

- Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales

- Clean and sanitize sales floor, display cases, prep areas and equipment

- Provides excellent customer service by answering product-related questions and helping customers locate store merchandise

- Organizes, cleans, and prepares back area for the night crew and incoming trucks

- Organizes merchandise on pallets to make the department presentable to the public

- Stocks and rotates items as needed

- Ensures integrity of shelf tags and signage in department may include preparing

- Maintains standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation

- Checks shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality of products

- Builds, stocks, maintains and takes down store displays

- May perform the duties of Customer Service Assistant as needed

ADDITIONAL DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC RESONSIBILITIES of the position:

COSMETICS:

- Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids

DRUGSTORE/GENERAL MERCHANDISE:

- Builds, stocks, maintain, and take down store displays

- Prepares tags and signs as needed

- Checks shipments for out-of-date and damaged products

ENTERTAINMENT:

- Knowledge in the audio/video field

- Knowledge of specialty products, Movies, Music, Electronics and Video games

GROCERY:

- Stocks and rotates items on store shelves as needed (including bread, dairy, and dry goods)

- Organizes, cleans, and prepares back area for the night crew and incoming trucks

- Checks shipments for out-of-date and damaged products

- Builds, stocks, maintain, and take down store displays

- Prepares tags and signs as needed

SERVICE/CENTRAL CHECKOUT:

- Direct the traffic flow of customers through check-out lanes

- Manage efficient break and lunch schedules for service Partners

- Approves and reviews financial transactions (override capabilities)

TEXAS BACKYARD:

- Knowledge of Agriculture

- Certified or working on certification as a Master Gardner

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE preferred:

- Must be 18 years of age

- High school diploma (or equivalent)

- Good Customer Service Skills

- Reading and Writing skills

- Planning and Organizing Skills

- Communication/Interpersonal skills

- Company Orientation

- Safety Training

- Good Customer Service Skills
