The Provider Assistant in the clinic setting is an integral part of the team approach to patient care. The assistant is responsible for quality patient care to be delivered to the clinic population under the direction of the Health Care Provider. Knowledge and consideration is always given to the age of the patient in planning, assessing, implementation and evaluation of patients. The assistant is an essential element in helping patients and families feel comfortable in the office. The assistant evaluates the need for immunizations and administers these under the orders of the Health Care Provider, provides teaching to families during well child visits, performs lab tests as ordered and completes request slips for tests ordered.

Basic Qualifications:

Education - Trained and eligible for certification as a medical assistant

Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)\\\\

Certified Medical Assistant,

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a medical assistant in a physician office setting
