Position Summary:Responsible for assisting in all tasks associated with manufacturing reagents and chemicals used for patient testing in LabCorp Clinical Trials laboratories and for all tasks associated with the manufacturing of reagents and chemicals for use in all flow cytometry based clinical trials. The Manufacturing Project Specialist performs all tasks according to standard operating procedures of the department and adheres to all safety requirements of LabCorp Clinical Trials. Essential Job Duties: 1. Titration of individual componentry used to manufacture reagents.2. Manufactures reagents, chemicals and laboratory testing products for use in patient testing and for clinical trials by following manufacturing SOPs.3. Performs QC testing and evaluates the data of manufactured products according to SOP.a. For Clinical trials reagents, utilizes Study Specific SOPsb. Determines relevant testing parameters for each reagentc. Performs relevant lot to lot comparisons prior to release of reagent. 4. Performs relevant stability testing of custom manufactured single color reagents and cocktails as per SOP and GMP requirements.5. Report deviations of performance to the Manager. 6. Maintains all instrumentation in satisfactory working order by following scheduled preventive maintenance schedules; maintains a clean and orderly manufacturing environment.7. Stores all reagents and chemicals in appropriate areas according to the storage and temperature requirements outlined in the established procedures.8. Performs tissue culture in support of manufacturing needs.9. Identifies problems and refers them to the Manager.10. Orders all reagents and supplies necessary to manufacturing department; maintains inventory of chemicals and supplies sufficient to manufacture all necessary reagents.11. Participates in the improvement of existing procedures and policies; participates in the research and development of new procedures and policies.12. Disposes of tested reagents or materials according to Manager's instructions.13. Performs analysis as needed.14. Performs other duties as assigned.
