In this exciting role, you will provide leadership and strategic influence within the Prompt Pay Interest Management team.  You will lead and be responsible for multiple Interest Reduction projects and key initiatives to eliminate interest from our processes.  This leader works closely with a variety of business partners and work teams, business leaders, and executive leadership to drive results with a strong sense of urgency and collaboration.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Manage multiple fast paced projects concurrently. This leader is expected to deliver on projects with a sense of urgency, laser focus and a positive approach that maximizes support across the organization

  • Manage a staff of business analysts. Sets direction, provides guidance, and monitors work activities of direct reports

  • Understand the overall prompt pay interest program and translate data into information that is specifically actionable to drive out interest at the at the root level; this leader is also responsible to ensure controls are tested frequently after solutions are implemented

  • Anticipate challenges and obstacles; proactively addressing potential issues

  • Drive a culture of root cause analysis, with a focus on removing variation from the system and removing defects from processes

  • Lead initiatives and drive change throughout the organization

  • Develop innovative solutions and implement successfully to deliver on results

  • Partner with leadership and business partners from across the organization to identify and execute on interest drivers (based on analysis of interest and key drivers); be a change agent, resilient to roadblocks

  • Consistently demonstrates ability to succeed in a continuously changing and challenging environment

  • Work collaboratively and effectively with cross functional and cross-organizational teams

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)

  • 4+ years of a combination of commercial and/or community & state claims background

  • 2+ years of management experience (leading a team of 5 or more)

  • 2+ years of project management experience

  • Proven success in business analysis and continuous process improvement

  • 2+ years of experience with documenting processes and practices, often with process flows, etc.

  • 2+ years of experience with performance or oversight of claim analysis and quality practices

  • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; including effective executive level presentations.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines

  • Proven success in business analysis and continuous process improvement

  • Proven Track record of leading change, driving performance, and reducing operational defects

  • Advanced analytical and statistical analysis skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven track record of identifying defects and process variation, and working to improve processes and reduce defects

  • Strong problem solving skills that enable quick identification and efficient resolution of issues

  • Business focused with the ability to translate strategic vision into  long and short term objectives to eliminate prompt pay interest spend

  • Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and problem solving skills including: excellent interpersonal communication skills, creative and innovative problem-solving ability, critical thinking and independent decision-making ability, group facilitation, negotiation, change, conflict management skills and coaching skills

 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Visio

  • 3+ years of experience in writing business requirements and business/finance analysis

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Six Sigma or LEAN process improvement experience
