Job Summary The Department of Radiology is seeking an Administrative Assistant Senior to provide administrative support for the Radiology Vascular and Interventional (VIR) Training Programs. This person will provide administrative services to the Program Directors of the VIR residency and fellowship programs, provide support for the trainees, assist with credentialing incoming trainees, and handle day to day activities in a fast paced, high volume working environment.
Responsibilities* The main duties of this position will be to provide the following services under the general leadership of the Human Resources Manager and under the direction of the Administrative Specialist Senior in partnership with peers:
Support to Program Directors and assist CAQ Program Coordinator
Maintain House Officer master schedules
Assist with incoming House Officer applications
Maintain conference schedules
Distribution of House Officer evaluations using MedHub
Assist with House Officer recruitment and orientation
Process travel reports through Concur
Monthly Preparation and submission of Cafe Plus/meal allowance for House Officers
Monitor medical licenses and required ACLS/BLS
Work with CAQ Program Coordinator to complete and submit national and institutional reports
Coordinate semi-annual reviews
Coordinate and staff required program meetings
Required Qualifications* Three to five years of successful Administrative Assistant experience
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software, as well as other database, e-mail and calendar-keeping software
Demonstrate the ability to work independently, set priorities, handle multiple assignments and deadlines, and display excellent judgment while operating in a flexible and professional manner.
Successful experience in collaboration with others in a team environment.
Successful experience with demonstrating organizational and problem solving skills.
Must have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and judgment in responding to requests for information.
Desired Qualifications* Experience with MedHub
Knowledge of University policies, practices and process regarding house officers.
Knowledge of University Health System Organization
Knowledge of medical license and DEA requirements
Knowledge of MLearning
Background Screening University of Michigan Health System conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
