Wedding Sales Coordinator is needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington, DE.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for sales and coordination of wedding / social market segments as well as other business segments utilizing Hotel catering facilities.
- A Sales Representative is viewed as a high energy, proactive, and sales-minded professional. The incumbent is community minded and understands the strengths and weaknesses of direct competition and has a day-to-day hands-on approach that produces positive sales results.
- Responsible for achieving/exceeding individual sales goal to obtain end of year financial commitments.
- Conducts venue tours, negotiates contracts, tracks detailed confirmations, creates Banquet Events Order details, cost letters, sets-up billing process, and writes follow-up letters
- Acts as the liaison between the Hotel operations and the customer
- Plans and details all aspects of the event, including customizing food and beverage menus, banquet space layouts, and audiovisual requirements.
- Assists the customer with other needs outside the Hotel, such as music, florist, photographers, transportation, linens, etc.
- Negotiates, but the end result is selling and appropriately pricing all services to meet financial goals.
- Serves as the on-site coordinator for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Two (2) years' experience as a catering sales representative in the wedding market
- Ability to utilize computer systems such as Delphi, e-mail, word, excel, etc
- Strong written and verbal communication skills: Exceptional organizational skills
- Knowledge and strong background in the food and beverage arena
- Adaptable and flexible attitude and an overall willingness to do what is necessary to get the job done successfully.
- Anticipate and exceed customer needs; Remain flexible with changing business needs; Interact and work with individuals and teams of diverse backgrounds/networking abilities; Make decisions and solve problems effectively and in a timely manner.
- Working weekends and holidays is a requirement of this position.
- Must be able to tolerate extended periods of sitting and / or standing
