Compensation Analyst needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Walnut Creek, California

What You'll Be Doing:



    - Participates in the design, development, implementation and oversight of all formal base, incentive, recognition and long-term pay programs.
    - Works closely with Human Resource Business Partners to provide information, prepare both in depth research and enterprise-wide solutions for assigned business clients.
    - Responsible for working with key strategic business partners to develop, design and administer effective compensation programs.
    - Evaluates the effectiveness of existing pay programs and provides detailed solutions with minimal guidance.
    - Interprets data and designs reports to highlight trends for senior management.
    - Works with assigned business groups and leads the process to develop group specific incentive design objectives, goals, identify eligible jobs, establish targets and measures and communicate plan objectives that drive business performance.
    - May manage the program administrative of one or more compensation programs (Focal, Salary Planning, Market Surveys, Rewards & Recognition, HRIS)
    - Drives the design and development of the job family matrices. Provides recommendations and input into the planning and execution phases of the Job Family Matrix and FLSA projects.
    - Audits jobs for content and prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements.
    - Handles complex and difficult job evaluation issues that have precedent-setting impact.
    - Interfaces with business-identified job content experts in the revision and / or development of Job Family Matrices, including the identification of jobs with borderline FLSA exemption status; reviews jobs needing FLSA exemption testing with Legal.
    - Conducts market research to evaluate and report on company's competitive market position in the market.
    - Manage annual compensation benchmarking, review and reward process for executives, leveraging input from talent review process.
    - Provide guidance on executive offering packages.
    - Independently prepare incentive forecasts, specialized compensation modeling on various internal executive compensation matters.
    - Partners with business leaders and HR Business Partners and Executive Compensation Consultant to develop and evaluate executive level positions; and participates in executive surveys and conducting analyses on various executive compensation programs.
    - Participates in the development of the Total Rewards Statement (TRS); data analysis and validation. May work with the TRS vendor.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:



    - Four year degree in Human Resources / Finance / Math or related field or equivalent experience
    - Five to ten (5-10 )years experience in the compensation field
    - An expert in the Compensation field and acts independently to solve problems, develop processes and determine methods.
    - Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders at various levels and functions to facilitate effective total rewards programs and administration.
    - Must have the ability to work well under pressure, and the flexibility to deal with multiple changing priorities and tight turnarounds.
    - Ability to identify key business drivers, evaluate trends and model data.
    - Ability to understand business needs and drivers and complete complex Compensation projects from start to finish.
    - Must have strong analytical skills and commitment to quality
    - Ability to build relationships in various organizations across the business.
    - Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, Power Point.
