Project Manager (Automated Material Handling Systems) needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

The Big Picture



    • Our client is a turnkey supplier of material handling systems, it manufactures, installs, commissions and services all of its products and each system includes equipment controls and software developed by them. Looking for Project manager with good experience in this or relevant industry



Top Skills Should You Possess:



    • Automated Material Handling Systems

    • AutoCAD experience



What You'll Be Doing:



    • Project Manager (Automated Material Handling Systems) will Review Customer PO, Proposals, & Specifications (with Sales & SE)






    • Develop and Submit a Project Data Sheet to Accounting Dept., and All Dept. Managers (regular updates to account for actual cost-then redistribute).






    • Develop & finalize all project specifications (Layout, Spec Sheet, SW Function Spec, & Schedule).






    • Arrange Project Spec Sheet + System Drawings and submit with PO to Japan (confirm delivery schedule of equipment & approval drawings)-include Schedule






    • Create Detailed Schedule with suppliers and contractors (could include customer).






    • Submit Dwg Packages and SW Functional Specification to customer (sign off from customer).






    • Submit Drawings and Schedule to suppliers/contractors for final pricing (RFQ process).






    • Develop Purchase Order Check Sheet (included in Project Data Sheet).






    • Finalize and submit Purchase Orders to suppliers/contractors (PO must be approved by GM, then send to Accounting Dept. for PO# assignment and distribution)






    • Acquire & Submit Specified Documentation (insurance, pre-start safey reviews, safety manuals, MSDS, tax info, permits, GC license, etc…)






    • Maintain customer/contractor contact through regular meetings






    • Make plans & identify laydown and entry points for installation with customer






    • Coordinate Approval Drawings "to/from" customer. Approval drawings are time dependent and should take highest priority for distribution-review-submittal to suppliers as not to cause delay for deliveries. Update Project Document Tracking in PDS.






    • Travel domestically and internationally with customer for equipment inspection/run-off testing (if applicable)






    • Arrange and Submit Project Organization Sheet to the customer





What You Need to Bring to the Table:





    • Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college






    • Three to five (3-5) years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.






    • Microsoft Office required, AutoCAD skills preferred.






    • Requires up to 30% travel (domestic and international).
