About this job
Supervisors the activities of personnel performing General Support Maintenance
such as inspection, maintenance and repair of General Support and Tactical
Equipment. Oversees maintenance shop operations to ensure equipment
readiness, shop organization, and asset maintenance. Provides high-level
technical advice on complex matters relating to General Support Maintenance to
the Manager of General Support Maintenance. Coordinates the activities of
(Battery Recondition, HVAC, Machine Shop, and Welding Shop) personnel engaged
in repairing, adjusting, servicing, and storing maintenance assets to obtain
optimal use of equipment, facilities, and personnel. Reviews and analyzes
expenditure, financial, and operations reports to determine requirements and
makes recommendations to management that will improve overall efficiency. As
Shop Supervisor, ensures all completed work is in compliance with
specifications and time schedules. Assists in the formulation of
administrative and operations policies and procedures and ensures compliance
with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and government
regulations. Provides technical guidance/assistance and makes decisions where
written guidelines are not available. Plans and manages human resource
activities within assigned area of responsibility, and within an organized
labor-union environment. Supervises direct reports. Establishes performance
objectives/goals. Monitors employee progress against goals. Maintains MPF
ISO policies and procedures and ensures on-going compliance with such.
Performs other related duties as assigned
B.S. degree in related discipline. In lieu of a degree, a combination of
college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related
work experience may be considered.
Ten years of directly related work experience in a maintenance and repair
environment.
Complete a Technical Maintenance Officer Course, or equivalent.
Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
Ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare part requirements.
Ability to analyze maintenance, repair or operations to determine methods of
improvement.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to obtain a U.S. Passport, obtain a government clearance, and a
valid driver's
