Cashier/Stocker

Downtown Seattle Grocery Outlet is looking for hard working, punctual, and honest individuals who are willing to challenge themselves and work in a fast-paced, team environment. We prefer OPEN AVAILABILITY and FULL TIME. Candidates must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, follow instructions and possess the willingness to learn all areas of the store. Every single one of our employees are required to provide customer service, as well as knowing how to cashier. We are a rather small operation, as in, not as large as your typical grocer (e.g. Albertsons, Safeway, etc). So, we require ALL of our personnel to be well rounded. All of our cashiers know how to stock and all of our stockers know how to cashier.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
*Cashiering
*Stocking product to the shelves on the sales floor
*Meeting expectations and reaching goals: ALL of our stocker clerks are required to throw a certain number of cases per hour, which may vary, depending on certain circumstances.
*Taking direction from various managers
*Cleaning all areas of the store, when needed
*Customer service (bagging groceries, helping customers locate product, helping customers in various situations) - CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS ARE A MUST
Candidates must possess the following traits:
*Ability to work as a team
*Ability to hustle and challenge themselves
*Ability to bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbs
*Strong organizational skills
*Strong people skills
*Must be a FAST LEARNER and able to absorb and retain knowledge
*Ability to handle cash and provide excellent customer service
*Punctuality, dependability and reliability are of the utmost importance and are a few traits that we do NOT settle on.
