As an IT professional you have expert knowledge in one or more programming languages or databases. Because of your excellent understanding of the entire project life cycle, you have the ability to direct project teams in the gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. You get to work closely with and learn from the brightest minds to ensure proper system design. Your role ensures highest quality implementations from design through quality insurance to production. You anticipate hardware and software design needs to take pre-emptive action. Our IT professionals support multiple team members and other project leads in day-to-day activities related to project work.
  • The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for preparing one or more of the deliverables required to build Business Requirement Documents for small to mid-sized projects which include; Process flow, use cases, system diagrams and coordination and accountability for Conceptual, Architectural, Review Board (CARB) and Requirements, Architectural Review Board (RARB) artifacts.
  • During the requirements phase of the project, the Analyst will coordinate and meet with IT and the business owners to ensure that business requirements are translated into succinct clear requirements with defined ranges.
  • The Sr. Business Analyst may document current business processes if they are not already in place. A thorough understanding of the functional area related to the project and the ability to identify and quantify business process improvements along with system improvements through the use of technology is critical.
  • This position requires knowledge of technology and the business with the ability to combine the two. The Sr. Business Analyst updates the Manager or Sr. Manager on day to day activities and project status.
This position is a senior level functional role in the Merchandising IT space. The responsibilites are to plan, facilitate, and document design sessions with various business and IT stakeholders. Additionally, this role acts as the functional SME during development and testing cycles.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop detail requirements including cost-benefit analysis for approved small to mid-sized projects and enhancements to existing projects.

  • Develop User Acceptance testing (UAT) and trace-ability matrix with the Business Client. Develop System Requirement Documents (SRD) and Systems External Specifications (SES) documents for the UAT and System test groups to assist with testing scenarios.

  • Interface with Business Stakeholders and IT Infrastructure teams to work through the start-up phase of the project including ensuring business requirements and business acceptance documents are accurately developed.

  • Assist with training and rollout plans for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of business unit processes, procedures and current applications.

    NATURE AND SCOPE -

    Typically reports to Manager - Service Management

    No direct responsibility for supervising others.

    ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

    Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

    Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 3

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
  • Bachelor Degree.

  • Preferably 3-5 years of related experience. Retail experience a plus.

  • Consulting experience a plus.

  • Package software configuration experience.

  • Diverse IT technical background.

  • Ability to identify and document business requirements.

  • Analytical and problem solving skills along with verbal, written and presentation skills.
